Having already built my own CNC OX 1000X1000 I was looking for a smaller machine dedicated to to small work and the intention to use the rotary unit which I had already purchased months previously with the intention of using on my larger CNC, then I saw the TTC-450 Ultra checked out Two Tree’s website which is very good, decided to buy, my unit ended up being shipped from China took just less than two weeks to arrive, unbelievable how well the box it came in had with protective materials ensuring all parts are safe from damage,
The building was pretty straight forward manual very good did take too long took my time.
Only complaint really was there was too much machine oil on the nuts bolts etc as my spoilboard had oil marks on three places but not to worry, next problem was trying to connect my laptop to the machine, the drivers on the card did not work full stop.
I redownloaded from another site, and reinstalled drivers now activate, tried to download Candle software from the card did not work, eventually got candle up and running and is now connected to the machine.
On first testing Y axis was going the wrong way, redownload of firmware from tworees website and reinstalled and retested XYZ all now working in the correct direction
Note: the two large connectors at the back of the Z motor make sure they are in properly as I had a slight problem with my machine working as it should.
Slight problem with the knob on the main unit screw came loose and I couldn’t understand why the 500 watt router motor wouldn’t power up. Retightened the screw problem sorted.
Overall the machine is very well built and working as I expected, I have air tried their there two no files( no bit in collet) no motor running and it went through both file operations correctly.
The good points I like about this machine are, brushes on y axis keeps out the dust, manual XYZ knobs are great when manually altering positions, and the power units screen very easy to use, technically you can load your nc,grbl files directly to ssd card with no computer connection, however I prefer mine controlled my computer, just used to this way as I run my larger machine with the openbuilds black box controller which in my opinion is the best CNC controller on the market,I will see how well it runs now and if satisfied will look at the TTC-6050 that looks a better machine.
